“Flint River Communications is Recipient of GACAA 2013 Mass Media Award”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 12, 2013

Reynolds, GA – On November 5, 2013 Flint River Communications’ Local Watch 14 was the awarded the GACAA 2013 Mass Media Award at the Annual Banquet for the Georgia Association of County Agricultural Agents at Lake Lanier, Georgia. This award was presented to James (Jim) L. Bond, President of Flint River Communications for the outstanding performance and support of Georgia Agriculture.

Jeff Cook,   County Extension coordinator, nominated Flint River Communications for the ongoing support and contribution to the local television program “Back Yard Basics” that currently airs on Flint River Communications’ Local Watch, Channel 14.  Mr. Jeff Cook had this to say “This relationship has led to support and coverage of local 4-H events like livestock shows and other programs. The programs topics have ranged from horticulture to aquaculture and are targeted to home owners, gardeners, and wildlife enthusiasts. The station has allowed us to select timely topics that should be beneficial to citizens in Middle Georgia. We are also able to use the channel and our show to promote upcoming events at both the state and local levels which also been beneficial to Georgia Association of County Agricultural Agents.” 

Backyard Basics airs twice daily and runs every month throughout the year on Local Watch Channel 14.
