Public Service Communications Announces the Purchase of Forsyth CableNet
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 4, 2014
Reynolds, GA – We are pleased to announce, effective August 1st, 2014, Public Service Communications headquartered in Reynolds, Georgia purchased the local cable television and internet system from the City of Forsyth, Georgia. The new company will continue to operate as Forsyth CableNet, LLC.
James (Jim) L. Bond, President of Forsyth CableNet, LLC stated, “We are very excited about the purchase of Forsyth CableNet and the opportunity to serve the customers in the Forsyth area.
Public Service Communications will work with the City during the transition period to ensure that the customer’s experience is a pleasant one. The customers will continue to make payments at the Forsyth City Hall for the first three months. Our plans are to have a payment/office location in the Downtown area opened by Monday, November 3rd, 2014.
We will begin testing and upgrading the system immediately. Our goal is to have the system upgraded and offer Broadband speeds in excess of 30 MB within the next six months. Weather plays an essential part in this process and as long as the weather cooperates everything should move expeditiously”.
