Flint River E-mail Setup

 To set up access to your Flint River Communications E-mail on your device please follow the instructions located below. You can configure most third-party email clients or applications to send or receive Flint River Email. Different devices and email clients might name the settings differently or might not offer all of the following settings.

Note: Your user name and password are the same as the ones you use to access your email account at mail.flintcatv.net.

Incoming Mail Settings
  • Server name: mail.flintcatv.net
  • Port number 993 with SSL enabled and the authentication box checked, if available
Outgoing Mail Settings
  • Server name: mail.flintcatv.net
  • Enable SMTP authentication for outgoing email, and then enter your Flint River Email address and password
  • Enter one of the following port numbers based on the encryption type
    • If the encryption type is SSL or SSL/TLS, then use 465
    • If the encryption type is TLS or if your device doesn’t support encryption, then use 587

Use SSL / TLS

Note: Some devices and email clients combine SSL and TLS into one authentication option of SSL/TLS. If there is no explicit TLS option, then choose the combined option of SSL/TLS, if available.

    • If the encryption type is TLS or if your device doesn’t support encryption, then use 587
